The bulk of the technical team live throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and use the office and security lab located in San Francisco, California. Working under the supervision of the Operations Director, the Lab Technician Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day San Francisco lab operations and technical support for the larger North America (NA) technical staff, offering asset management and technical creativity to our service delivery team consisting of two project managers and 13 security analysts. We are seeking an organized, personable, and detail-oriented individual to join our organization and help us grow and improve.

As we are growing, we are in need of a dedicated Lab Technician Engineer to support our Lab Manager and to reinforce our San Francisco Security Lab. This position is full time.

Tasks

At Riscure we engage in a variety of challenging projects, which are executed in our security lab. You will be supporting our Lab Manager and a key support for communication inside the lab. Your responsibilities inside the lab include:

• Managing the day-to-day remote set-ups and being 1^st point of contact for remote colleagues
• Building and maintaining set-ups
• Supporting Security Analysts with soldering and other electronic tasks
• Preparing samples used in projects
• Making proprietary electronic solutions
• Inventory and lab management support such as regular calibration of equipment
• Data archiving and assisting with backup and server maintenance
• Maintaining lab, IT and client sample inventory
• Maintaining and improving lab working environments and standards such as ISO 17025 & EMVCo
• Ensuring colleagues have equipment needed for training, demos, conferences and other travel or business activity

Your qualifications

You have a background in electronics, and you enjoy supporting your colleagues and organizing the working environment in the lab. Your experience and skills include:

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent experience, hobby projects count too
• Experience assembling electronics
• Creative mind with an eye for detail
• Soldering experience
• Able to keep track of multiple priorities and be on top of all the details
• Highly organized and capable of coordinating a lab independently
• IT experience and enthusiasm to help our NA colleagues and IT team
• Excellent communication skills and a team player. Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Gets energy from organizing complexity into sanity, generating structure and efficiency
